I look forward to improving your horses health and performance.
I am a certified farrier with the American Farriers Association (AFA) and it's been my pleasure to have served the Enumclaw and surrounding areas for over 33 years. After attending Eastern Washington State College where I graduated with a B.S. degree in Biology, I attended Olympia Technical Community College for Farrier Studies.
As an instructor at Green River Community College, I taught hoof care and lameness in their continuing education program. In addition, I have proudly served on the Board of Director's for the Farrier's Association of Washington State. I believe continuing education is important and necessary and frequently attend AFA Conventions.
Throughout my farrier career, I have had the privilege of working with many highly esteemed veterinarians and farriers worldwide. These vast experiences, working and treating horses in all states of need, have given me the skills to confidently and properly assess the requirements of different horses and situations.
I am active in the farrier community, and proudly represented the Farriers of Washington State in the Formation Committee to propose the Equine Liability Act, which later was enacted as a law. My editorial works have been published in trade journals. In addition, The Enumclaw Forge was featured in The American Farrier's Journal. I have authored monthly articles for the Farrier's of Washington State Newsletter.
I am the Proprietor of Hammerman Horseshoeing and proprietor of Enumclaw Forge, a full service farrier facility.
